Sorrows and grief fill my inner soul
As words of the past, keep me from being whole.
No deed or action can fix this vexed state
Only your rod of compassion is what I embrace.

Lord I Take What is Yours

Teach me to give what is rightfully yours,
Testing my heart in helping the poor,
Giving to those in dire need,
Giving with a heart that is empty of greed.
